New Technology for an Age Old Problem
Cool Lipo melts fat and tightens your skin with almost no bruising or downtime. It is great for chubby jowls, sagging neck (turkey gobble), under the triceps, at the knees, thighs, or where ever there is a small bulge of accumulated fat. As we grow older our skin begins to show the signs of sun, lifestyle, and aging. The face and neck are exposed to the sun more than any other part of the body; therefore they both tend to age more quickly. As these aging effects begin to appear we look for topical formulas and non-invasive treatments to help reduce future aging plus improve current appearance. Many prefer not to undergo extensive surgical face and neck lifts due to the expense, high risk, and lengthy time needed to heal, not always an option for people with limited recovery time.
In addition, the unique wavelength of the CoolLipo laser system directly contracts collagen and tightens the skin from the inside out an effect not seen with standard liposuction.
How CoolLipo works
The CoolLipo Procedure treatment is performed in our medical office, and you are able to be awake during the whole procedure. The treatment area is anesthetized using tumescence and a small cannula (wand-like ap
paratus which contains laser fiber) is inserted into an incision through the skin into the treatment area. The cannula is maneuvered within the treatment area making contact with the fat under the skin.
Frequently Asked Questions about CoolLipo
How long does the procedure take?
The length of the procedure depends on the area being treated with the average being one to three hours for an individual area.
How long will it take for the treated area to heal?
The healing time frame depends on each patient's procedure and individual healing abilities. The small incision should heal within days and depending on your situation you may have minimal if any bruising.
How long before I notice results?
Cool Lipo results in a thinner, tighter, more youthful appearance of the treated area. Most patients see an immediate improvement after their procedures. Improvement in skin tightening can continue for up to six months. Dr. Micheal will discuss and review what you should expect from your Cool Lipo results based on your individual situation.
Can the CoolLipo treatment be performed on my stomach, hips or other large body areas?
The CoolLipo is ideal for small fatty problem areas such as the neck chin and arms. It improves the outcome of conventional areas such as the abdomen and thighs by allowing the fat to gently be melted with the laser and the skin to be tightened. This allows for a less traumatic removal through suctioning of the liquefied fat. It gives life long results.

Why should I choose CoolLipo over other similar laser assisted lipolysis laser procedures?
CoolLipo's unique 1320 nm wavelength provides proven skin tightening and lifting benefits in addition to fat lipolysis. there is minimal risk of pigmentary changes using the 1320 wavelength.
What is Cool Lipo?
Cool Lipo is a laser-based, minimally invasive procedure used to aid in the removal of unwanted fat during a standard liposuction procedure. Most importantly, Cool Lipo provides skin tightening. It can be used to treat areas of lax skin that until this time were difficult to treat or provided poor results post treatment with conventional liposuction.
Does the Cool Lipo Procedure Require General Anesthesia?
No, one of the major benefits of Cool Lipo is that Dr. Micheal can perform the procedure under local anesthesia with light sedation, as needed.
Does the Cool Lipo Procedure Hurt?
In the vast majority of instances, there is either no or minimal pain with Cool Lipo. Dr. Micheal will use a numbing solution (tumescent anesthesia), which is injected under your skin to eliminate any sensation of pain. This anesthetic solution is given with a long but small needle through a site in the skin that has been previously numbed with a tiny amount of anesthetic solution. You might feel a sensation of pressure during the procedure as the laser fiber is advanced or retracted.
Will There be Any Swelling or Bruising?
This depends on your response to the procedure and the area treated. Normally if there is any swelling it will subside in a day or so. Bruising is usually minimal.
